Advanced Freediver Course

For all of you who already participated in any beginners freediving course (at least 2 days) and who want to extend their knowledge, go deeper and dive for a longer time, this 3 Day Advanced Freediver Course should be your choice. You will learn lots of new techniques, tips and tricks to improve and tune your technique.

Especially if your depth is limited by equlization this is the course you need!

  • Learn packing your lungs
  • Learn streching exercises to reduce residual volume of your lungs
  • Learn how to do the Frenzel Fattah Mouthfill Technique (1/2 day workshop + 1/2 day empty lung training)
  • Try out new equipment fluid goggles, nose clip, …
  • Sportpsychology of competitive freediving

At the end of the course advanced students will have the chance to freedive the cathedral in pescador island (27m).

Theory

  • Introduction → Pictures and Videos, including the latest record attempt videos …
  • Equipment → Special Masks, Monofin, Fluid Goggles…
  • Physiology → Human Body and Freediving, Dive Reflex, Empty lung diving …
  • Physics → Effects of pressure

Pool Training

  • Breathing Techniques → Different Breathing Techniques
  • Relaxation Techniques → Mental Training to get relaxed fast
  • Breath Hold Training → Individual coaching to adress each persons limitations
  • Training Tips → More Tips for improving your skills after the course (10 Tipps on how to hold your breath)
  • Safety → Do’s and Don’ts - with an open talk about hyperventilation

Deep Diving Training

  • The Dive → Correct Fin kick, Decent, Ascent, Turning
  • Equalization → Intense Frenzel Fattah Mouthfill Workshop
  • Physiology → Physiology of Deep Freediving and especially empty lung diving/ FRC diving
  • Safety → Review of the Buddy Safety System

Format / Duration

  • Advanced Freediver is held over 3-days, 6- 8-hrs/day, start at 9am
  • 4 classroom theory sessions
  • 2 pool training sessions
  • 3 open water deep diving sessions

Prerequisites

  • Having completed the Open Water Freediver Course, any other Beginners Freediver Course or proof of qualification
  • Static breathhold of at least 1:30 minutes
  • Constantballast of at least 12m (40ft)
  • Average health and fitness
  • 16 years of age with guardian permission

Cost

PHP 11,250.-

and includes the following:

  • Personalized instructions
  • Freediver student manual in electronic version
  • 2 Pool and 3 classroom sessions (including sportpsychology for competitive freedivers)
  • 3 Open water deep dive training
  • Boat fees may be an additional charge
  • Wall certificate

For solo students (VIP Course) the price is an additional of PHP 1,000.- per day.
Additional ABC (Mask, Fins, Booties and Wetsuit) equipment rental per day – PHP 450.-
